<p>Music provided by Katy (aka Firewheel) Dj, Musician and entrepreneur, Katy Walker has been living in Brooklyn, NY for almost a decade but comes back to what she consider her hometown, Austin for SXSWi every year. She&#8217;ll be giving out free copies of her first album and promoting the release of <a href="www.mymoismusic.com" target="_blank">her band&#8217;s new album.</a> DJ Mel finishes up the night mixing his signature classic hip hop to perfection.

It is the first of its kind to offer geo-coded neighborhood photo tours, apartment rentals by subway and university all in one simple interface.</p>
<p>The OnMarketBoston site is a collection of enterprise-level client and server applications working together under the Java JBoss/Tomcat production environment.  The server application is called SuiteSpot and is responsible for handling all transactions and requests via a detailed business layer and a robust DB2 database engine.</p>
<p>The client applications including OnMarketBoston.com and SuiteSpotBoston.com, are built using a combination of AJAX, Java Stripes framework and standard CSS/HTML and interface with the data engine via Java Bean technology.</p>

<p>Thanks to the Schipulcon Web Marketing Conference this week for engaging local Houstonians to web marketing initiatives put on by Schipul, a Houston Web Marketing Agency.  Iconoclash and The BLVD enjoyed two full days of panels that ranged from technology, film, Search Engine Optimization, and social media best practices.<br />
Schipulcon’s two-day agenda focused on Executing Interactive Online Strategies using Tendenci, Wordpress &amp; Drupal, public relations and social media best practices, understanding your SEM and site analytics. Highlights of the conference were hte keynote speech by Ed Schipul on personal branding and learning how to create a company brand with social media.   Raymond Dayle, the independent filmmaker of award winning Electric Purgatory: The Fate of the Black Rocker, presented an informative speech where young entrepreneurs in the media industry could benefit from Dayle’s advice on bootstrapping their startup.</p>

<p>We had the opportunity to work with UMG and One Records to launch their  mobile content portal <a href="http://www.content.mobi" target="_blank">www.content.mobi.</a> Our concept behind the portal was to allow the company to follow the trends of their younger audience  by providing them with  MP3&#8217;s , wallpaper and ringtone downloads. The user can load the mobile site and search, preview, and send to friends selected ringtones , videos and wallpapers. The user can search by genre, tracks, and by album.</p>

Pure Energy was launched in 2006 as a healthy, more natural energy drink to an international audience.  To make the most use of marketing dollars and a unique package and taste profile, a detailed Internet marketing program was developed by Iconoclash members.</p>
<p>The website was designed with promoting G Pure Energy&#8217;s mixability in various cocktails.  Elaborate coctail recipies were developed for the project, recruiting various mixologists in the New York area to participate and displayed on the site.</p>
<p>A campaign to reach out to various blogs and beverage industry sites resulted in positive reviews of the product, its packaging as well as a 5,000% increase in web traffic to the G Pure Energy site (<a href="http://www.gpureenergy.com" target="_blank">www.gpureenergy.com</a>). </p>

<p>The Ultimate Smoothie Selector, developed for <em>Men&#8217;s Health</em> and <em>Women&#8217;s Health</em> magazines is an exciting new example of raising brand awareness through mobile user-generated content. The application comes packed with over 90 smoothie recipes, which users can add to their favorites, and rate on a 1-5 star system. Ratings from all users are updated every time the app is run, allowing the individual to easily view smoothies by popularity.</p>
<p>The user can also enter their own recipe, and take an accompanying picture of the smoothie on their phone. The recipe is uploaded to the client&#8217;s server, where they can alter and approve the recipe for inclusion in the application. The new user-generated recipe is then downloaded by all other users the next time they run the application. A handful of additional features round out the package.</p>
<p>We provided the client with a custom content-management system to moderate user content and manage the smoothies in the application. The CMS included a REST API, which we built from scratch to enable application-CMS interaction.</p>

<p>As one of the most popular forms of communication in the world, SMS has become a favorite channel for advertisers to reach out to their audience. In order to create an exciting mobile experience, BMW was in search of a new concept to enhance BMW products.  As a creative solution, we had the opportunity to develop the BMW SMS messaging campaign.</p>
<p>Within the campaign, participants  would text &#8220;BMW&#8221; to the short code &#8220;44445&#8243; to get more info about the BMW Z4, BMW Art Cars, and BMW Product News. Participants would then select and reply with what BMW product they were interested in. User replies with the choice of A, B or C, then an email would trigger after the user opted in for the specific product info.  Depending on the opt-in, BMW would then send the user a detailed email about the selected product. The campaign was an extremely successful example of audience engagement on a mobile platform, and has provided BMW a new way to communicate and increase product awareness.</p>
