As one of the most popular forms of communication in the world, SMS has become a favorite channel for advertisers to reach out to their audience. In order to create an exciting mobile experience, BMW was in search of a new concept to enhance BMW products. As a creative solution, we had the opportunity to develop the BMW SMS messaging campaign.
Within the campaign, participants would text “BMW” to the short code “44445″ to get more info about the BMW Z4, BMW Art Cars, and BMW Product News. Participants would then select and reply with what BMW product they were interested in. User replies with the choice of A, B or C, then an email would trigger after the user opted in for the specific product info. Depending on the opt-in, BMW would then send the user a detailed email about the selected product. The campaign was an extremely successful example of audience engagement on a mobile platform, and has provided BMW a new way to communicate and increase product awareness.
